Multitasking At It's Finest

Hello hello!!

This past week has been pretty crazy!! One of my companions, Sister Hassler, went to her original mission in Brazil so our week was full of packing, driving, covid tests, stress, and of course taking her to the airport. At one point, we were driving to Aurora (which is outside the mission) for an emergency covid test since her first one wasn't going to work in time while we were teaching a lesson to one of our friends on the phone over Facebook messenger and Sister Hassler was getting checked in to her appointment over another phone call and we had Google maps going on the 3rd phone. It was insane but we survived. Like the email title says, we had multiple things happening at once for pretty much the entire week!

It was so sad to say goodbye to Sister Hassler at the airport! We were only companions for 1 week but it was still super hard! Now it's just me and Sister Syme who are both new to the area so we are basically white washing. Trios are always a party so it's weird to go back to just 2 of us but it has been good to focus more on the area and get to work now that we don't have to worry about all the packing and stuff.

We got to do a service project with our district this week that was so fun! We painted tables and chairs at Clement Park. Also, I thought we would never get fed here but this past week, someone brought us Cafe Rio and Crumbl cookies and someone else brought us Torchy's tacos!! The people here are so kind!

Being in YSA is so fun! About 50% of the ward is new right now since school ended and all the college students are coming back home to Colorado. There are also a lot of people who just left because they were doing school here but went back to where they are from for the summer. We have a fun group of summer sales people who are in the ward too! Everyone calls them the bug boys but this last week, 2 girls joined them! Both of them have their mission calls so we are going to be helping them prepare!

ALSO, we got some crazy news this week! The governor announced that those who are fully vaccinated don't need to wear masks anymore. Our mission President said he's going to follow the governor so we don't have to wear masks or social distance from other missionaries at district council or zone conference anymore if we are fully vaccinated!! Our ward also announced that masks aren't required anymore. I will be fully vaccinated on Wednesday. I'm excited for this to be coming to an end but it's going to be really weird.

Love you all!!!!!!
Love, Sister Megan Young
