"I'M BURSTING WITH JOY!"

What a week!!! Hello everyone!

Ok so yesterday we had the most AMAZING miracle!!! We decided we needed to drop 3 people that we have been teaching who aren't really progressing and don't seem super interested. We talked a lot about having the faith to drop them. Sometimes it's a really hard thing to do because you don't want to give up on them or lose people from your teaching pool. We felt like we needed to do it though and we had faith that if we dropped them, Heavenly Father would bless us with the elect. Within a few hours, we were able to find 3 new, super elect people to teach!!! It was seriously so incredible. A member in our ward called us because her husband passed away a few weeks ago and her son's girlfriend, Kassandra, had a lot of questions. We were super excited and set up a lesson for last night expecting to just teach that one person. BUT when we got there, we saw that Kassandra's 11-year-old son, Dakota, was there too AND Sister George's other son's girlfriend, Sarah. We taught Kassandra, Sarah, and Dakota the Restoration and they all loved it! We gave them all copies of the Book of Mormon and invited them to read and pray! So exciting! Also they all watched our zoom church!

After we left the lesson, all of us were so giddy and just so happy. We all had the biggest smiles and were giving each other hugs. When we got into the car, Sister Rosa said, "I'M BURSTING WITH JOY!" which is the title of this email because it pretty much sums up what we were feeling. Being a missionary is the best:)

We also have some super good potential with another lady named Heather! We taught her the Restoration as well and were also able to see her again the next day. The only problem is she doesn't really answer her phone or respond to texts so it's hard to get in contact with her. We are really hoping that she is genuinely interested and not trying to avoid us.

We also had an amazing zone conference this week and we were given the challenge to read the Book of Mormon before the end of the year! Each zone in the mission is starting in a different place and we get to start in 3 Nephi which is the best part! I love the Book of Mormon and I'm so excited for this challenge. At zone conference we did the musical number! I played the piano and my companions and I all sang, "I know that my Redeemer Lives".

We also had exchanges this week and Hermana Calderon came to Red Rocks with me! Sister Rosa and Sister Goldsberry went over to the Denver 1st Spanish ward with Hermana Torgesen. Neither of them speak Spanish though haha. I had such a great time with Hermana Calderon and was able to learn so much from her! She is at the end of her mission and is going home next week!!! She is so amazing and I will definitely miss having her as my sister training leader.

I also hit 5 months on my mission this week which is super crazy!

As my good friend Brother Larson says every time we leave his house, "The book is blue!" And then we say, "The church is true!"

Love, Sister Megan Young
